"Here I go again. I'm back. I've missed writing and posting artwork here. Some time has passed and I feel like I've experienced a few things — things about myself, others, the internet, the politics of the work place, the politics of the family, and a whole lot about petty politics. I've experienced some things in the world of athletics and training — running mostly — and some things about the never ending path that is learning to play the guitar (the frustration and the joy), some things about gardening, and some things about the changes in, and evolution of, my life.
And now I have some questions and comments. Now I want to talk about them. Well, more specifically, I want to put some comments and a few questions out in a potentially public forum, on the web. I know that blogging is, in SO many ways, a form of navel gazing, self-reflective and narcissistic. And I don't give a damn. We all do that anyway. I have some questions and comments! I don't really care if I get any answers. This is my way of figuring what the hell I'm thinking. But if you want to chime in, by all means, please feel free.
And feel free to criticize the artwork and the poetry. That's what showing art is all about — hanging your ass out over the edge and letting people kick it. It's kind of insane really. Once in awhile I even get some positive criticism. I'll take that too. Either way, comment at will.
So here it goes. Let's light this candle." -Tim Phillips
